I’ll try not to state the obvious, but you will have to keep “anything” away from your dog as much as possible. This is more of a training issue than a “passing” issue, according to a dog trainer friend of mine. Try providing your dog with more dog friendly toys and chewables so that it won’t harm the dog. Being in the pet waste industry for over 35 years, we have seen a lot of interesting items passed through a dog, and I would venture to guess a lot that we haven’t seen. Crayons, jewelry, and some items we just don’t want to know. My favorite? $35 cash, stuck inside the poop! What a way to get a Christmas bonus.
