Our Business Values
1. Ensuring the business as a whole has a positive impact on and adds value to the communities we serve;
- We here at Scoop Masters want to help the communities we serve by donating our time and services for pet related events and local fund raisers. We believe in giving back to the communities that supports us. If you would like information regarding donations for your shcool or non-profit organization, use our contact page to get a hold of us.
Excellence in our products or services;
- To ensure that we provide excellent service to our clients, we will return to your property as soon as possible to clean up any missed piles that we are made aware of. Sometimes even the same day. Every product we use for cleaning is always safe for people, pets, and plants.
All staff are paid fairly and treated equally;
- Our service may cost slightly more than other services in the market place, but we pride ourselves in only hiring the best. And we will pay them a higher wage than other companies. We do this because we like to keep good team members and we want them to be able to support their families.
All staff have an opportunity to learn and progress, even if that means moving to another company;
While many of our team members are content with serving clients and petting dogs all day, we do provide advancement opportunities. Some will be promoted to operations managers, while others may be in charge of their own areas.
Compassion and mercy are shown to staff and clients if they suffer difficult circumstances in their personal lives;
We all should show compassion for one another. And we understand that “stuff” happens. We will try to be sympathetic to the circumstance of our clients and our team members. For us, family comes first, and if a family emergency arises, we will do our best to accommodate, even if it means delaying service for our customers until the next day.
Ensuring a positive and healthy work environment - Physical as well as emotional;
- A positive and healthy work environment is most important to us when we are dealing with dogs. If a dog is deemed dangerous, we will request that it be secured while we are on the property. If not, we will skip the stop. If a dog gets loose and chases after our service techs, we will request the client to find another scooping company. A dog attack can have an adverse effect on our service tech’s physical and emotional well being and we want to look after them in this respect.
What is right is put ahead of what is profitable;
Life is more than money, it’s all about relationships. We encourage our service techs to be aware of any circumstances that may affect our clients or their dogs. If a dog is in need, we will stay and help them if we can. Some time ago, one of our service techs stayed with a client’s sick dog for over an hour while waiting for the client to get home. While they offered to pay him for his time, he refused to accept any payment. That’s the kind of team member we want working with us!
Always marketing with integrity - under promising and over delivering;
We will never purposely deceive our potential clients with hidden expenses or specials that are not honored. All services are outlined on our website along with the associated costs. We will not bait and switch to obtain new clients. Our Specials page will outline all the details of our promotions and their terms.
Avoiding workaholic behavior, mitigate burnout by providing paid vacations to our team members.
We never want to overwork our team members. They will not be required to work every Saturday as we believe that the weekends are meant for family time. Saturdays are optional for all team members. It is our intent that no team member ever works more than 8 hours in one day. We also believe that vacations are a necessary component to keep our sanity! That’s why we offer paid vacation time for all employees and we encourage them to use it.
